¡BIENVENIDOS!WELCOME TO BOOKBLIPS!

BOOK NUMBER 23
SUBJECT MATTER: Baseball deaths
TITLE: Death at the Ballpark-A Comprehensive Study of Game-Related Fatalities 1862-2007
AUTHORS: Robert M. Gorman, David Weeks
PUBLISHER: McFarland & Company, Inc.
COPYRIGHT: 2009, 256 pages

A one of a kind book that divides baseball-related fatalities into separate categories and gives details about each death. For instance, was the death in the Major leagues, Minor leagues, Black baseball league, amateur play? Was the death from a pitched ball, a thrown ball, a foul ball, a bat, the weather, etc. If you can take the macabre nature of the subject, it makes for "can't put it down" reading. Some truly heart-wrenching tales are presented in this very interesting book.
